The Greenane Centre, founded and managed by Liz Quish, is a privately run, professional and confidential therapy & training centre based in a private rural setting outside Tipperary Town. We provide counselling and psychotherapy for adults, adolescents and play based child psychotherapy. We also offer a range of Trauma and Attachment Informed specialised services.
Our Adult counselling service facilitates a person experiencing difficulties to explore and examine these difficulties in a confidential, compassionate and supportive environment. Your counsellor will support you in developing and enhancing your coping skills with the ultimate aim of enhancing your emotional wellness.
Adolescence is a period of great transition which often results in adolescents feeling a sense of unease, confusion and dis-connection as they try to navigate their place in the world. Our team ensure adolescents are met with compassion and given a safe, open and non-judgemental space to explore, process and figure out their concerns.
Children can often experience difficulties adjusting to life circumstances. As children do not possess the cognitive ability to put into words what they are thinking or feeling, often showing us that things are muddled and puddled for them through their behaviours. Play therapy enables children to express, regulate, communicate and figure out their feelings in a safe and supportive environment.
We provide a range of specialist developmental trauma and attachment informed support services for children and adolescents. We also work with parents, carers and professionals, equipping them with the tools and strategies to meet the unique needs of this population group.
The Greenane Centre offers a range of IACP CPD Approved and Recognised training programmes delivered through a blended learning format. We offer training in Integrative Adolescent Psychotherapy, Trauma Informed Psychotherapy, Developmental Trauma, Disordered Eating and Transactional Analysis.
